Dr Emma Sciacca graduated from the University of Queensland in 2014 with first class honours and as class valedictorian. Throughout her veterinary degree she worked as a casual veterinary nurse at Brisbane Bird and Exotics Veterinary Service, where her passion for reptiles and other exotic animals was fostered. Upon graduation she completed an internship at BBEVS and then stayed on as a senior veterinarian. Emma received her membership to the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists for Avian Health in 2018, and for Medicine and Surgery of Unusual Pets in 2019.
