Olivia James graduated from the University of Sydney with honours in 2013. An interest in equine dentistry was sparked early in her career, she sat her ANZCVSc memberships in Equine Dentistry and started a successful general equine practice in 2010 and became a Diplomate of ICEVO in 2013. Olivia is currently in the final examination stages of equine dentistry advanced standing for Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College. 

Dr. James consults and performs referral oral and maxillofacial surgeries Australia wide as Director of Australian Veterinary Equine Dentistry. Recognising a need in the marketplace for easily accessible, on demand online education, Dr James founded the The Veterinary Dental Company in 2019.  This platform provides online education in veterinary equine dentistry the largest venture worldwide on a single subject to date.  She is also mum to 2 boys and holds a black belt in Miranda Kai karate
