Sally Nixon
Professional Bio
Dr Sally Nixon graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Melbourne in 2000 and is a Resident in behavioural medicine in both the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists and the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists.
As well as owning her own rural-based business consulting in veterinary behavioural medicine, Sally also works for Dr Jacqui Ley at the Essendon Fields clinic of the Melbourne Veterinary Specialist Centre.
Sally enjoys educating veterinarians, veterinary nurses and the general public about the importance of veterinary behavioural medicine through her work with the Centre for Veterinary Education, Melbourne Polytechnic and the Veterinary Information Network, as well as via webinars and local events.
Sally currently represents AVBIG on the Policy Advisory Council and is the current president of the veterinary behaviour chapter of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS).
